Downfall 2026: Life In The Big Shitty
Downfall 2026 will be a virtual event that narratively takes place in the canon city of the Aysea whose updated content will be released in conjunction with this Downfall 2026 event.
This event will include active involvement of all four societies from the book Social Creatures, with the ability for members to join or potentially advance. Players are encouraged to review the core nature of each group and work with their home branch to create narratives and records of local impact / achievements if a player is looking to advance. Players will have the opportunity to prove that they should advance, however, players need to actually do the role-play and have the experiences to have that chance prior to the event. Society membership is not a passive gain system but instead rewarded in conjunction to player effort and narrative opportunities.
Downfall 2026 Basic Details
Downfall 2026 is being designed by Dystopia Rising CT in conjunction with multiple neighboring branches. Dystopia Rising CT online events are designed to operate a specific way, and to enjoy the experience players should consider the following:
DR CT virtual games are primarily on video. Players and NPCs are in costume and have set dressing backdrops (or virtual backdrops) that enhance the experience. Props and scene setting is encouraged.
DR CT uses schedules for not only modules, but also for key NPC role-playing scenes. While NPCs will come and go through rooms, often times with only one or two face NPCs per room, if you want to have specific society or specific NPC role-play you should read the schedule provided and be in those associated scenes.
DR CT writes hundreds of pages of content per normal event. There is overlap between scenes and groups, and you will not be able to be involved with everything or see everything. We suggest choosing what parts of the narrative you like and actively chase those lines.
We support out of character hangouts at the same importance as in character scenes during our events. We encourage people to play video games in the OOC rooms, chat, and enjoy what is more of a “virtual convention” design than a "larp you have to be a part of at all times” experience.
Early Setting Excerpt
The following excerpt is an early access section from the future Aysea canon book to give players a basic concept of the local setting to determine if this is the style of play and environment they would like to engage in before considering buying a ticket. Please keep in mind that we have every intent on having the event focused on a specific narrative, so we do not want players to buy tickets without completely understanding the brutality of the narrative and the location we will be exploring in this game.

Each button provides a short introduction for the reason why an individual who is a part of a society would want to attend this event and what players should prepare for this experience.
